IFF entered into an agreement to sell its portfolio of botanical extracts, vitamins and minerals, and food enhancement activities to SuanNutra, a portfolio company of Carbyne Equity Partners.

IFF CEO Erik Fyrwald said the divestment is a step to optimise the company’s portfolio and sharpen focus on its core Taste, Scent and Health & Biosciences businesses.

Portfolio and operations

The transaction covers natural colors, antioxidants and certain localized flavor activities in Peru and serves food, beverage and nutritional end markets with customised solutions.

The included operations generated approximately $170 million in revenue in 2025 and employ about 600 people across five manufacturing facilities in Europe, the United States and Latin America.

Timing and conditions

Both companies expect to close the sale by the end of 2026, subject to customary closing conditions, regulatory clearances and applicable consultation requirements. Financial terms were not disclosed.
