Product Launch
Huntsman Advanced Materials has introduced a new range of ARALDITE® epoxy adhesives, free from intentionally added BPA and substances classified as CMR under the EU’s CLP regulation. The initial rollout includes ARALDITE® 2014-3, 2020-1, and AV 138 M-2, now available in Europe, with additional products like ARALDITE® 2012-1, 2013-2, and 2015-2 expected by October 2025.
Sustainability Efforts
As part of its sustainability strategy, Huntsman has developed a new Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) plastic cartridge for some products in the new range. This innovation reduces CO₂ emissions by up to 36% compared to cartridges made from virgin plastic materials.
Industry Applications
ARALDITE® adhesives have been a benchmark for reliability and performance for over 80 years, serving sectors such as transportation, marine, medical, wind energy, and industrial manufacturing. They are commonly used in the production and assembly of buses, trucks, rail vehicles, and filtration systems.
Availability
The newly reformulated ARALDITE® adhesives are distributed through Huntsman’s established network, including partners like Bodo Möller Chemie, Samaro, Antala, Emmanuele Mascherpa, Viba, and Biesterfeld. The current product range will remain available until the end of 2026.
