Honeywell launches Forge Cognition with NVIDIA and Dell to add agentic AI to buildings and industrial operations

Key highlights
  • Forge Cognition combines real-time digital twins with agentic AI to monitor, simulate and coordinate actions across existing building and industrial systems.
  • Pilot deployments include NVIDIA’s Voyager campus, the Fairmont Hotel Dubai, NEX Mall Singapore, Vanderbilt University, and Honeywell campuses in Bangalore and Richardson.
  • Voyager pilot reported up to 90% reduction in unnecessary alerts, up to 10% potential energy savings, and a comfort score above 95%.
  • The platform leverages NVIDIA Nemotron, Omniverse and RTX PRO GPUs alongside Dell’s AI Factory, PowerEdge XE servers and AI Data Platform to scale models from data center to edge.

Overview

Honeywell Technologies introduced Forge Cognition, a self-contained agentic AI and simulation platform for facility operations across buildings, campuses and industrial operations. It pairs real-time digital twins with AI agents to help operators understand facility conditions, simulate operating scenarios and autonomously coordinate actions across existing systems to improve asset reliability, energy efficiency and operational performance.

Technology and partners

Forge Cognition converges IT and OT and taps NVIDIA and Dell Technologies for AI and infrastructure. NVIDIA Nemotron open models power operational agents, Omniverse libraries enable physically accurate simulations, and Cosmos/Metropolis blueprints support vision AI; the platform runs on NVIDIA RTX PRO GPUs and is expanding toward DGX Spark for far-edge deployments. Dell supplies the AI infrastructure via the Dell AI Factory with NVIDIA, including PowerEdge XE servers, the Dell AI Data Platform, cyber resiliency solutions and services to train and operationalize models and agents.

Capabilities and operation

Agents use Honeywell’s structured knowledge base of assets and systems data to discover, contextualize and analyze equipment behavior. Use cases include alarm classification and verification to reduce false positives, predictive HVAC asset health to guide maintenance, and digital twin simulations to identify energy savings while maintaining occupant comfort. Customers can run the platform in manual, semi-autonomous or autonomous modes with operator override at any time.

Pilots and early results

Pilots are underway at NVIDIA’s Voyager campus, the Fairmont Hotel Dubai, NEX Mall Singapore, Vanderbilt University and Honeywell campuses in Bangalore and Richardson. At Voyager, reported outcomes include up to a 90% reduction in unnecessary alerts, up to 10% potential reduction in energy and utility consumption, predictive asset health monitoring and maintaining a comfort score above 95%.
