Certification and location

Brenntag's Samut Prakan facility was certified by the VDA Quality Management Center for compliance with ISO 22241, becoming the company's first VDA-certified AdBlue production site in Asia Pacific; the site is located about 30 km from central Bangkok within Brenntag’s warehouse complex.

The plant includes dedicated storage tanks, closed transfer systems and controlled filling lines designed to ensure product purity, traceability and contamination-free handling in accordance with VDA and ISO 22241 standards.

License and operations

The VDA license authorizes production, packaging and distribution of AdBlue (32.5% urea solution) from Samut Prakan to customers across Thailand and the Asia Pacific.

Applications and markets

AdBlue is used in selective catalytic reduction (SCR) systems to convert NOx into nitrogen and water vapor; primary end-users include transport (heavy-duty trucks, buses, light commercial vehicles), construction, mining, agriculture, power generation and marine sectors.
