- EnviTec Biogas will supply a 935 Nm³/h EnviThan gas upgrading unit integrated in a single 45‑foot container using Evonik SEPURAN® Green G5X 11" membrane.
- Compressor and container production starts at EnviTec's Saerbeck facility in Q2, with the unit scheduled to feed the local gas grid by year‑end.
- Gasum, which acquired the Hærup plant in late 2024, currently runs it largely on slurry for ~40 GWh/yr with a maximum capacity of 70 GWh/yr and plans to operate at full capacity.
- EnviTec has completed 106 EnviThan plants globally (44,000 Nm³/h total) and delivered 13 projects in Denmark totaling 9,910 Nm³/h.
Project overview
EnviTec Biogas will deliver an EnviThan gas upgrading unit with nominal capacity 935 Nm³/h at the Hærup site; the unit is scheduled to feed the local gas grid by year‑end and compressor and container production starts at EnviTec’s Saerbeck facility in Q2.
Technical details
The complete upgrading system, including Evonik SEPURAN Green G5X 11‑inch membrane, is integrated into a single 45‑foot container with the gas compressor housed in a soundproof enclosure; EnviTec first deployed this containerized setup in 2025.
Hærup plant and Gasum
Gasum acquired the Hærup plant in late 2024; the group operates 19 biogas plants in the Nordics and produced over 900 GWh of biogas in 2025. Hærup currently produces about 40 GWh/yr running largely on slurry, with a maximum capacity of 70 GWh/yr and plans to run at full capacity once upgraded.
EnviTec footprint
EnviTec has been active in Denmark for nearly a decade, delivering 13 projects there with a combined biomethane capacity of 9,910 Nm³/h, and has completed 106 EnviThan upgrading plants globally totaling 44,000 Nm³/h.
