Site Expansion and Innovation

With the expansion of its site in Itzehoe, CUSTOMCELLS is significantly increasing its research, development, and small-scale mass production capacities. The groundbreaking ceremony for the new building was attended by representatives from business and politics. The expansion aims to accelerate the company's growth and enhance its ability to develop high-performance batteries tailored to customer needs.

Sustainable Construction

The new office building will cover an area of 10,251 m², with an option to expand by an additional 5,749 m² over the next five years. The building will feature modern timber construction using element-based, serial methods, which are resource-saving and allow for an accelerated construction process. The building is expected to be ready for occupancy by late summer next year. Additionally, a production and storage hall will be built on the site, with planning already in advanced stages.

Employee Growth

By mid-2023, the number of employees at the Itzehoe site is expected to increase from 90 to more than 160. The new buildings will provide additional space and flexible room layouts to adapt to future requirements and project needs. This expansion will create a conducive environment for the team to maximize their innovative potential.

Commitment to Sustainability

The CUSTOMCELLS site is already powered entirely by renewable electricity. The company also plans to install e-charging stations on the premises to promote sustainable mobility among its employees.
