Evonik inaugurated an expanded specialty amine production facility in Nanjing on April 21, 2026 after a double‑digit‑million‑euro investment to increase commercial‑scale output.

Products and market focus

The expansion enables commercial manufacture of advanced reactive specialty amines used as additives for polyurethane foams and as curing agents in epoxy systems, addressing demand for low‑VOC, lower‑odor and higher‑performance formulations in automotive, construction, furnishings and coatings.

Sustainability and supply security

The Nanjing site in the Jiangbei New Material Technology Park is fully powered by green electricity and is intended to improve supply security, raw‑material access and integration into Evonik’s global production network while supporting stricter emission standards.
