Eni Selects Call4Innovators Projects for HPC6 Access

Key highlights
  • Eni concluded the selection of 10 projects under Call4Innovators on 4 December 2025.
  • The initiative focuses on energy transition and technological competitiveness.
  • Projects gain access to Eni's HPC6 supercomputer for advanced calculations.
  • Applications came from 20 countries, evaluated on criteria like SDG alignment.

Project Selection

Eni has finalized the selection of 10 innovative projects from startups, SMEs, academic institutions, and research centers as part of the Call4Innovators initiative. The selection aims to foster projects with a significant impact on energy transition and technological competitiveness.

Access to HPC6

The chosen projects will gain direct access to Eni's HPC6 supercomputer resources. This access will enable them to develop, evolve, and scale their advanced calculation models, with support from Eni's experts and technological partners.

Global Participation

The initiative attracted numerous applicants from 20 countries, with 61% from Europe, 30% from the United States, and 9% from other regions. Applications were distributed across five thematic categories: computational materials science, meteorology and earth sciences, energy portfolio management, engineering systems, and smart mobility.

Evaluation Criteria

Eni, along with partners AMD, HPE, and CINECA, evaluated the applications based on criteria such as the solidity of the proposal, novelty of the solution, compatibility with the HPC6 infrastructure, alignment with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and Eni's strategic plan.
