Introduction

DuPont has introduced Tyvek® APX™, a new disposable chemical garment fabric, at A+A 2025 in Dusseldorf, Germany. This innovation aims to enhance worker comfort and safety by offering unprecedented breathability without compromising protection or durability.

Development and Features

Tyvek® APX™ is the result of extensive scientific research and collaboration with customers. It represents the most advanced form of Tyvek® material, addressing the challenge of making protective garments more breathable while maintaining performance and durability.

Worker Well-being

As worker well-being gains importance across various sectors, the ability to dissipate body heat efficiently in protective clothing is crucial. Tyvek® APX™ coveralls provide a balance of comfort and protection, allowing moisture to escape and air to circulate, thus preventing overheating.

Scientific Validation

An independent physiological study by Empa confirmed the enhanced breathability of Tyvek® APX™. The study measured physiological changes in workers wearing traditional and Tyvek® APX™ garments under different conditions and activity levels.

Global Wear Trials

DuPont conducted global wear trials with nearly 300 participants across various regions and applications. The trials tested the garments in extreme temperatures and humidity, with results showing a clear preference for the high-breathability Tyvek® APX™ fabric.
