Dow and Amcor announced a strategic collaboration to accelerate adoption of low‑carbon packaging solutions by combining Dow’s low‑carbon polyethylene, materials‑science and carbon accounting expertise with Amcor’s packaging innovation, manufacturing capability and global reach. The partners aim to help brands and retailers implement and scale packaging that meets performance and design requirements while supporting Scope 3 emissions targets.

Central to the effort is Dow’s Carbon Footprint Ledger (CFL) methodology, which applies mass‑balance precedents and provides independently assured product carbon footprint data aligned with ISO 14067 and the Greenhouse Gas Protocol Product Standard. Combined with Amcor’s packaging expertise, CFL is intended to give customers greater visibility and confidence when evaluating low‑carbon packaging choices.
