On 19 March 2026 Croda inaugurated a greenfield manufacturing facility in Dahej, Gujarat, India, intended to strengthen local supply and support growth in Asian markets.

The site will supply Consumer Care, Life Sciences and Industrial Specialties sectors, serving domestic customers and selected export markets and benefiting from strong logistics connectivity.

Sustainability measures

The facility is designed to reduce Scope 1 and 2 emissions through renewable electricity and fuel sources, will use RSPO‑certified oleochemicals, align with Extended Producer Responsibility plastic recycling requirements, and expects Zero Liquid Discharge systems to become operational later in the year.

Construction recorded over 5 million safe working hours; the site incorporates advanced operating systems, quality infrastructure and high safety standards, features 100% women‑led packaging operations and aims for 30% female representation.
