Production Expansion

Clariant has increased its production capacity for the Nylostab S-EED stabilizer by adding a second production line at its Cangzhou facility in China. This expansion is a response to the growing demand for high-quality stabilizers in Asia, driven by the rapid growth of the Chinese nylon industry.

Applications in Artificial Turf

Nylostab S-EED is now being used in artificial turf applications, offering enhanced durability and color retention. It provides protection against light, heat, and oxidation, which are critical for maintaining the longevity and appearance of nylon artificial turf systems, especially in high-traffic sports fields.

Medical Sector Innovations

Clariant has also introduced AddWorks LXR 548, a phenol-free antioxidative solution designed for polyolefin applications in the medical and hygiene sectors. This stabilizer reduces yellowing and maintains color stability even after gamma radiation and thermal treatment, making it suitable for medical devices and hygiene products.

Strategic Partnerships

The expansion in China is part of Clariant's joint venture with Beijing Tiangang Auxiliary Co., Ltd. This partnership aims to better serve the textile and engineering plastics industries in China and the broader Asian market, aligning with the company's strategy to meet evolving customer needs in the region.
