Tuomas Mäkipeska has been appointed as the new Chief Financial Officer of Kemira Oyj, joining the Group Leadership Team. He will assume his role by May 2026, succeeding the current CFO, Petri Castrén, who is set to leave the company.

Professional Background

Mäkipeska comes from YIT Oyj, where he served as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President & Deputy to the CEO since 2021. His career also includes nearly a decade at Lassila & Tikanoja Oyj in various leadership roles, including CFO and Interim President & CEO, as well as experience as a management consultant at Deloitte.

Qualifications

He holds a master's degree from the Helsinki School of Economics and brings extensive expertise in finance, investor relations, IT, and legal, along with solid business leadership experience.
