Sinopec-led CCUS organization and partners launch Green Design CCUS report and awards

MoU and objectives

On March 29, 2026 at the Zhongguancun Forum · World Green Design Forum, several international organizations signed a strategic cooperation memorandum to integrate green design with CCUS technology and explore paths toward global carbon neutrality.

Report, award and emissions initiative

They launched the Green Design CCUS International Development Report and established a Green Design CCUS International Award, will solicit global CCUS design innovations and practical cases, and issued an initiative targeting 10 billion tons/year CO2 reduction via large‑scale CCUS and other emission‑reduction technologies.

Signatory organization

The International CCUS Technology Innovation Cooperation Organization was established in July 2025, is led by Sinopec, and has members across Asia, Europe, the Americas and Oceania.
