Leadership Change

Carsten Poppinga, Chief Commercial Officer at Uniper, has announced his decision to leave the company. He will assume the role of Head of Trading at EnBW AG after a cooling-off period.

Contract and Transition

The Supervisory Board has agreed to an early termination of Poppinga's contract, effective at the end of February 2026. Until a successor is appointed, CEO Michael Lewis will take on the responsibilities of CCO.

Achievements

Poppinga played a significant role in re-establishing Uniper as a successful trading house. He optimized the risk profile of the power and gas portfolio and advanced trading and sales activities.
