BioAdvance has inaugurated a €22 million biofuel production facility in the Port of Figueira da Foz, Portugal. The plant initially has a production capacity of 20,000 tons per year, with plans to increase to 200,000 tons within the next two to three years.

Strategic Location

The facility occupies a 20,000 square meter plot within the Port of Figueira da Foz's liquid bulk terminal, marking the largest private investment in the port's history. This location facilitates efficient transportation and export capabilities, with 60-70% of production expected to be destined for international markets within three years.

Job Creation

The new plant has created 36 jobs, with 18 positions requiring high-level qualifications. This contributes to the local economy and highlights the company's commitment to attracting skilled talent.

Sustainability Efforts

Biofuels are crucial in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and mitigating climate change. The plant transforms waste into valuable biofuels, reducing reliance on fossil fuels.
