New Digital Hub in Hyderabad

BASF is set to open a global Digital Hub in Hyderabad, India, by the first quarter of 2026. This hub will enhance BASF's existing digital network, which includes locations in Europe and Asia Pacific, by providing standardized digital services globally.

Strategic Objectives

The Hyderabad hub aims to consolidate digital capabilities in a cost-efficient manner, enabling faster and more streamlined service delivery. This move is part of BASF's strategy to focus its digital portfolio on areas that generate the most value for its core businesses.

Workforce and Structural Changes

As part of its global digital strategy, BASF's Global Digital Services division plans to significantly reduce its workforce by 2030, including positions in Ludwigshafen. The division also intends to decrease the number of sites where digital specialists are located, implementing these changes in a socially responsible manner.

Operational Preparations

Preparations for the Hyderabad hub are underway, with hiring and operational activities for the new entity, BASF Digital Solutions Private Limited, starting immediately. The hub will become part of BASF's established presence in India, which includes manufacturing and R&D activities.
