On 31 March 2026 BASF Agricultural Solutions closed its acquisition of AgBiTech, following a January 2026 agreement with Paine Schwartz Partners and other shareholders and the receipt of required regulatory approvals.

The acquisition gives BASF full ownership of AgBiTech’s biological insect-control technologies to strengthen and broaden its biologicals offering within the crop protection portfolio.
