UEBT Membership

BASF Beauty Care Solutions France S.A.S. has joined the Union for Ethical Biotrade (UEBT), an organization promoting ethical sourcing of ingredients from biodiversity. This membership highlights BASF's commitment to sustainable practices in the cosmetic industry.

Responsibly Active Program

Launched in 2021, BASF's Responsibly Active program focuses on innovating products to protect natural resources, empowering communities, and minimizing environmental impact. The program aims for 95% of raw materials to be biobased or derived from abundant minerals and seeks 100% traceability in botanical supply chains.

Innovative Ingredients

BASF's portfolio includes Oximony™, sourced from FairWild-certified Lysimachia christinae, ensuring traceability and promoting ecosystem preservation. The FairWild certification supports fair trade and social initiatives for local communities.

Sustainable Sourcing Initiatives

The Rambutan program is another example of BASF's commitment to sustainable sourcing. It utilizes organically farmed rambutan fruit and by-products as feedstock for bioactives. Collaborating with local farmers and NGOs, the program promotes biodiversity, good agricultural practices, gender equality, and fair working conditions.
