Aramco and solutions by stc are collaborating to deploy a next-generation high-performance supercomputer to enhance Upstream computing for seismic data processing and large-scale reservoir modeling and simulation.
Technical impact
The system will provide seven times the current Upstream compute capacity, enabling faster, higher-resolution seismic imaging and reservoir simulation to improve hydrocarbon discovery, optimize recovery rates and extend field life.

The $372.5 million (SAR 1.4 billion) project is the largest computing deployment in Aramco's history and is scheduled for delivery by early 2027.

solutions by stc will deploy the infrastructure and deliver software support and managed services, integrating technologies from global high-performance computing vendors to support data-intensive Upstream operations.
