Emissions profile and strategy

More than 90% of Aptar’s total emissions are Scope 3, and over 80% of Scope 3 emissions are linked to purchased goods and services, primarily raw materials such as plastics. Aptar aligns supplier work with its validated science-based targets and Carbon Transition Plan, focusing on lower-carbon alternatives and circularity via product design and material selection.

Supplier engagement

Aptar’s Purchasing teams engage suppliers through one-on-one collaboration and structured forums like the Aptar Global Supplier Summit. The 2026 summit featured challenge briefs, innovation exchanges and working sessions to connect suppliers with Aptar teams on operational and sustainability priorities. Aptar expects suppliers to share environmental data, participate in assessments and screening programs, and contribute to initiatives on materials, emissions reduction and responsible sourcing.

The Supplier Engagement Assessment scores supplier action as reported in a company’s CDP response, evaluating detail, comprehensiveness, awareness of climate issues, management methods and progress; highest-rated companies are recognised as Supplier Engagement Leaders.
