Air Products San Fu was awarded a long-term agreement to support a semiconductor manufacturer's expansion in Taiwan, supplying multiple new front-end fabs and back-end packaging facilities to meet demand driven by artificial intelligence and high-performance computing.
Technical work
The company will build, own and operate four large state-of-the-art air separation units and associated bulk gas supply systems, and install new underground pipeline systems that will connect to its existing pipeline network in Taiwan.
Gases and operational effects
The supply package includes industrial gases used across semiconductor processes—nitrogen, oxygen, argon and helium—and the pipeline tie-ins are intended to enhance supply reliability, operational efficiency and resilience.
