Introduction
ADNOC and SLB have launched the AI-powered Production System Optimization (AiPSO) platform, initially deploying it across eight fields. This initiative was announced at ADIPEC in Abu Dhabi.
Technology and Implementation
AiPSO leverages SLB’s Lumi data and AI platform, along with Cognite Data Fusion, to utilize millions of real-time data points and ADNOC's proprietary machine learning. The platform aims to optimize the entire production system, including thousands of hydrocarbon wells and processing facilities.
Operational Benefits
The platform enables real-time connectivity between office and field operations, allowing engineers to diagnose issues and optimize wells in minutes. This enhances workforce productivity and increases production capacity.
Future Plans
Following the initial roll-out, ADNOC plans to implement AiPSO across all its onshore and offshore fields by 2027, reinforcing its leadership in AI deployment across the energy value chain.
