Investment and Expansion
To meet the growing global demand for ultra-high performing powders in industrial applications, Arkema is expanding its production capacity at the Mont site in France by more than 50%. This expansion involves an investment of around €20 million and is expected to be operational in the second half of 2019.
Product Focus
The increased capacity will focus on specialty polyamide powders marketed under the brand name Orgasol®. These powders are recognized for their exceptionally controlled particle size distribution and outstanding toughness.
Applications
Orgasol® specialty polyamide powders are widely used as high-performance formulation additives in coatings, advanced composite materials, and 3D printing. This expansion aims to support the steady growth of customers in these industrial sectors.
Strategic Shift
Following significant investments in Asia for the Rilsan® polyamide 11 and Rilsamid® polyamide 12 product lines, Arkema is now focusing on expanding its Orgasol® specialty powders portfolio to support next-generation applications.
