Mexichem's VESTOLIT Expands Specialty PVC Capacity in Germany

Capacity Expansion

VESTOLIT GmbH, a subsidiary of Mexichem, has commenced the capacity expansion announced in May 2015 at its Marl, Germany plant. Initial product runs have been completed, and test analyses confirm that all quality standards and product specifications have been met.

New Production Line

This expansion includes a new production line at the Marl site, adding an additional drying capacity of 40 kt for Paste-PVC. This investment establishes the site as the largest production facility for Specialty PVC worldwide.

Product Range

VESTOLIT is Europe's only manufacturer of High Impact Suspension PVC (HIS-PVC), which is used for weather-resistant windows. The company is also a leading producer of paste PVC for applications such as floors and wallpapers. Additionally, VESTOLIT produces Chlor-alkali and its derivatives, which are used in various chemical and industrial applications.

Vertical Integration

VESTOLIT operates a vertically integrated production process at a single site, starting from salt and extending through to Specialty PVC. This integration is a key component of Mexichem's Business Group Vinyl.
