Investment in Antwerp Facility
Kilfrost has significantly increased winter resilience in the airline industry by investing in a European manufacturing facility. Kilfrost Europe Ltd, a subsidiary of Solventis Ltd, will manufacture aircraft de- and anti-icing products at a new state-of-the-art plant in Antwerp, Belgium. This move aims to enhance the security of supply for their critical frost protection products.
Production and Timelines
The Antwerp facility will produce Type I, Type II, and Type IV Kilfrost fluids, alongside the existing production in Haltwhistle, UK. The company expects production readiness by October 2017, strengthening its position in the European market.
Expansion and Storage
The investment will also extend the bulk storage capacity for aircraft de- and anti-icing fluids and improve IBC filling capabilities. This ensures maximum supply flexibility for the European customer base.
