New Manufacturing Plant
Bostik, a specialty adhesives business line of Arkema, has opened a new plant in Helsingborg, Sweden. This facility will enhance Bostik's cementitious product manufacturing capacities using its Polymer Modified Binder (PMB) technology.
Product Range
The new plant will produce a variety of cement-based construction products, including tile adhesives, mortars, and flooring products such as Bostik 1055 Fiber Maxi floor screed. This expansion aims to meet the growing market demand in Northern Europe and the Baltic region.
Inauguration
The official plant inauguration took place on 6 July, attended by Thierry Le Hénaff, Chairman and CEO of Arkema, and Roland Albers, Bostik’s Senior Vice President of EMEA. The new facility represents a significant milestone in Bostik's international development strategy.
Advanced Manufacturing
The plant features state-of-the-art production equipment and employs the latest manufacturing techniques to ensure high levels of safety, quality, and efficiency. It offers production flexibility, enabling direct delivery to construction sites and distribution through builders' merchants and DIY outlets.
Historical Presence
Bostik has been active in Sweden since 1911. This new facility is part of its ongoing international expansion, following recent plant openings in the USA, Mexico, Philippines, and Malaysia.
