Investment Overview

Grupa Azoty S.A. is investing PLN 460m in two major projects: the Polyamide 6 Plant and Granulation Plant II. These projects are expected to be operational by 2016 and will create 110 jobs. The company has secured all necessary corporate approvals to begin the investment process.

Polyamide 6 Plant

The Polyamide 6 Plant will have an annual production capacity of 80,000 tonnes and will cost up to PLN 320m. It will be financed through a combination of own funds and a credit facility. The plant will be located next to the existing PA6 plant in the Special Economic Zone, covering an area of 3.5 hectares. This investment follows the consolidation of caprolactam production capacities at Grupa Azoty and responds to changes in the global caprolactam market. The growing demand for plastics in Poland, driven by the automotive sector and other industries, presents an opportunity for Grupa Azoty to become a key regional supplier of polyamides and composites.

Granulation Plant II

The second project, Granulation Plant II, aims to optimize the fertilizer offering and add value to ammonium sulfate production. The project will cost PLN 141m and will also be financed with own funds and bank borrowings. This initiative is part of Grupa Azoty's strategy to maintain its competitive position in the CAN market, building on the first Granulation Plant constructed between 2006 and 2009.
