Project Announcement
Chemical company Emerald Performance Materials has announced plans to build a second benzoic acid reactor train at its manufacturing facility in Rotterdam. This expansion is expected to bring an investment of between $5 and $10 million into the Rotterdam region.
Increased Capacity
The new reactor will add 75,000 metric tons of capacity for benzoic acid. This increase will support the sales of Emerald's Kalama® and PUROX® brands of benzoic acid and benzoate preservatives, as well as meet the company's growing internal consumption needs.
Completion Timeline
The project is scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2014.
