The Geoscience & Exploration Central Asia (GECA) International Forum is a major industry platform held in Astana, Kazakhstan, bringing together government representatives, scientists, industry experts, and national and international oil and gas companies.
It focuses on key issues in geology and exploration, development of Central Asia’s hydrocarbon and mineral resources, adoption of modern and digital technologies, sustainable development considering environmental and social factors, and prospects for international cooperation.
The forum includes plenary and panel sessions discussing challenges like improving project efficiency, energy security, geological exploration in the global energy landscape, digital geology, ESG principles, oil and gas geology, hydrogeology, and resource geopolitics.
This inaugural event took place at the Palace of Independence.
