Wacker Chemicals (China) Co., Ltd. is a wholly foreign-owned subsidiary of Wacker Chemie AG, headquartered in Shanghai. It manufactures and supplies specialty chemicals, primarily silicones and polymers, for industries including construction, textiles, cosmetics, automotive, and electronics.
The company operates integrated production facilities in Zhangjiagang and Nanjing, along with technical centers supporting research and development. It has expanded silicone manufacturing capacity at Zhangjiagang, with new lines for functional fluids, emulsions, and elastomer gels scheduled to commence operations in 2025.
Greater China represents a key market for the parent group, with ongoing investments strengthening local production and customer service in the Asia-Pacific region.
