TURN2X ASSETCO II EXTREMADURA SL is a Spanish limited liability company based in Miajadas, Cáceres, Extremadura, incorporated in May 2024. It specializes in the production of renewable energy, particularly through electrolytic hydrogen projects.
The company coordinates the T2X RFNBO (Renewable Fuel of Non-Biological Origin) hydrogen project, which features a 9 MWe electrolyser. Selected in the European Commission's third European Hydrogen Bank auction, the project is expected to produce 6,390 tonnes of hydrogen over 10 years, avoiding 43.71 kt of CO2e emissions. It received EU support at a premium of €0.62/kg.
Associated with German cleantech firm TURN2X, which operates a pioneering commercial renewable natural gas plant via methanation in the same location (inaugurated 2024), the entity focuses on green hydrogen production to support synthetic fuel manufacturing and decarbonization efforts in the chemical and energy sectors.
