TGE Gas Engineering GmbH is a specialized EPC contractor focused on the storage and handling of liquefied gases for the energy, LNG, and petrochemical industries.

Established in 1980 and headquartered in Bonn, Germany, the company delivers full-scope services ranging from feasibility studies and conceptual design to engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning of terminals, cryogenic storage tanks, and associated infrastructure. Its projects include large full-containment tanks with capacities up to 200,000 m³ for ethane, LNG, LPG, and other liquefied gases, along with loading facilities, refrigeration systems, and regasification units.

TGE maintains a global presence with operational units in Europe and Asia and has completed installations totaling over 8.5 million cubic meters of storage capacity. Since its acquisition by China International Marine Containers (CIMC) in 2008, it operates as part of the CIMC Group while retaining its engineering expertise and project execution capabilities.

The company has a strong track record in cryogenic technology and has executed major projects for international clients, including the construction of Europe’s largest ethane storage tank at the INEOS Grangemouth site in the United Kingdom under a 2014 contract.
