terralayr AG is a Swiss-based energy storage company headquartered in Zug, with operations focused on Germany. Founded in 2023, it develops, owns, operates, and aggregates grid-scale battery energy storage systems (BESS) to provide on-demand energy flexibility services.
The company manages a portfolio of BESS assets, including over 150 MW currently operating or under construction, approximately 200 MW ready-to-build, and a multi-gigawatt development pipeline. Through its proprietary LAYR cloud platform, terralayr virtualizes and aggregates its own and third-party battery assets, enabling utilities, grid operators, power traders, and large consumers to access flexible capacity without owning physical infrastructure.
