Taurob GmbH is an Austrian robotics company specializing in autonomous mobile robots for inspection and operations in hazardous industrial environments, particularly oil and gas facilities.
Its heavy-duty inspector robots, equipped with 3D LiDAR, thermal cameras, and 360° sensors, perform autonomous patrols to detect leaks, hotspots, and other hazards without exposing personnel to risk.
Taurob is also co-developing an operator robot under the ARGOS Joint Industry Project with partners including ADNOC, Equinor, and TotalEnergies. This system will handle physical tasks such as lifting equipment, gripping tools, and operating valves and gauges in extreme conditions ranging from −20°C to 60°C, with deployment targeted for the end of 2026.
