Sumisho Venture Partners, Inc. (住商ベンチャー・パートナーズ株式会社), known as SVP, is the Tokyo-based corporate venture capital arm of Sumitomo Corporation. Established in April 2022, it invests in Japanese startups to drive business co-creation, leveraging the parent company's global network and assets.

SVP targets next-generation growth areas aligned with Sumitomo's SHIFT 2023 plan, including next-generation energy, social infrastructure, retail and consumer, healthcare, and agriculture. It primarily focuses on Series A and later stages, with individual investments ranging from ¥50-200 million. In March 2026, SVP launched a ¥10 billion-scale fund, transitioning to a fund-based structure for medium- to long-term commitments, larger deals, and deeper portfolio involvement. Priorities now emphasize digital, AI, and deep tech.

As part of Sumitomo Corporation's global CVC network—spanning the US since 1998, China, Israel, and the UK—the Group manages approximately USD 450 million in CVC assets worldwide.
