Sunrise Wind LLC is the project company responsible for the Sunrise Wind offshore wind farm, a planned approximately 924‑MW development to be built in U.S. federal waters east of Long Island, New York. The project is intended to supply renewable electricity to the New York grid via a subsea export cable and onshore transmission facilities on Long Island.
The company oversees project development, permitting, procurement, construction, and future operations of the wind farm and associated transmission assets. Its work spans marine surveys, environmental reviews and mitigation planning, supply‑chain contracting, and stakeholder engagement under federal (e.g., BOEM) and New York State regulatory frameworks, including an awarded offtake with NYSERDA.
