Sunprime Holdings S.r.l., commonly known as Sunprime, is an Italian independent power producer founded in 2020 and headquartered in Milan. The company specializes in the development, construction, and operation of photovoltaic solar plants and battery energy storage systems (BESS), primarily serving industrial, agricultural, and commercial sectors.
Sunprime focuses on distributed generation, installing rooftop and ground-mounted PV systems on underutilized sites such as post-asbestos removal roofs and land near consumption centers. It manages all project phases in-house with a team exceeding 160 professionals and has secured over €763 million in project financing from institutions including the European Investment Bank (EIB), Natixis CIB, and others.
Currently operating around 180 MW of solar capacity, Sunprime is expanding through initiatives like Project Sophocles—a €507 million program for 290 MWp of solar PV and 350 MW of BESS across Italy, financed by EIB (€271 million) and partners, targeting operations between 2026 and 2028.
