Sinopec Guangzhou Petrochemical Company

The company focuses on crude oil refining and ethylene production, with an annual comprehensive crude oil processing capacity of about 12.75 to 13.2 million tons and an ethylene production capacity of 220,000 tons. It operates more than 50 major petrochemical production units, a 299,000 to 305,000 kW captive thermal power plant, and supporting facilities including crude oil jetties at Huizhou Port. Main products include over 60 types of refining outputs such as gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, naphtha, LPG, road asphalt, sulfur, and petroleum coke, alongside chemical products like polyethylene, polypropylene, and polystyrene in more than 160 grades, plus high-purity hydrogen for fuel cells.

As part of the Sinopec Group, Guangzhou Petrochemical supplies clean fuels and petrochemicals primarily to South China markets, with some exports to Hong Kong, Macao, and Southeast Asia. It emphasizes safe, green, and high-quality development through technological upgrades, intelligent manufacturing (including 5G smart factories), and initiatives in hydrogen energy and high-end materials. The company produces low-emission prebaked-anode petroleum coke and ranks among top performers in the Sinopec system for efficiency and environmental standards. It contributes significantly to regional energy security and industrial growth in China’s petrochemical sector.
