Senbis Polymer Innovations is a Netherlands-based polymer R&D and specialty manufacturing company with a focus on sustainable materials. The company develops and optimizes bio‑based and biodegradable polymers as well as recycling-oriented solutions, working across common engineering and biopolymers such as polyesters, polyamides, and PLA.
Senbis provides contract research, formulation and compounding, extrusion, and fiber and filament spinning (mono- and multifilament), supported by materials testing and characterization. With laboratories and pilot lines in Emmen, the company bridges lab-scale research to pilot and small-series production, helping customers validate processes and scale up new products. Its application expertise spans packaging, textiles, agriculture and horticulture, 3D printing, and marine-related uses. In addition to R&D services, Senbis commercializes selected specialty filaments and yarns developed through its innovation programs.
Construction begins on a PHA extraction pilot to produce batch Caleyda for testing and to validate scale-up toward a 6‑kt extraction plant.
