Scope Ratings GmbH is a leading European credit rating agency headquartered in Berlin, Germany. Registered with the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) as an external credit assessment institution since 2014, it is the only European CRA accepted by the European Central Bank (ECB) in the Eurosystem credit assessment framework (ECAF).
As part of the Scope Group, the agency provides independent, forward-looking credit ratings, research, ESG analyses, and fund ratings across debt capital markets. It covers financial institutions, corporates, structured finance, project finance, public finance, and sovereigns, rating around 1,000 issuers and over 14,000 bonds representing more than €40 trillion in debt.
