Saudi Aramco Mobil Refinery Company Ltd. (SAMREF) is a refining joint venture between Saudi Aramco and ExxonMobil’s Mobil affiliate, based in Yanbu Industrial City on Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea coast. The company operates a large, complex refinery that processes Arabian crude oil to supply domestic and international markets.
SAMREF’s output includes gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, fuel oil, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), and naphtha. The refinery’s naphtha and LPG streams serve as key feedstocks for regional petrochemical production, linking SAMREF to downstream chemical value chains in the Yanbu hub and beyond. With deep‑water port access at Yanbu, the site supports both local industries and export logistics for refined products and petrochemical feedstocks.
