Saipem International B.V. is a Dutch-registered subsidiary of Italian energy services company Saipem S.p.A., headquartered in Milan. The Saipem group provides engineering, procurement, and construction services for offshore and onshore projects in the energy and infrastructure sectors, including drilling operations. It operates globally with a focus on complex projects in oil, gas, and emerging energy areas. In 2026, Saipem agreed to sell its entire stake in Saudi Arabian Saipem Limited, which operates five jack-up rigs, to ADES Saudi Limited Company for USD 285 million on a debt-free, cash-free basis, with completion expected by Q3 2026 subject to approvals. The transaction supports a strategic shift toward deepwater and harsh-environment drilling. Saipem is also pursuing a cross-border merger with Subsea7, announced in 2025 and anticipated to close in the second half of 2026, subject to regulatory clearances.
