RWE Renewables UK Limited is the UK arm of RWE’s global renewables business, focused on developing, constructing, owning, and operating low‑carbon power projects across the country. The company supports the UK’s energy transition by delivering utility‑scale generation from renewable sources and feeding electricity into the national grid.
Its portfolio and pipeline span offshore wind, onshore wind, solar photovoltaics, and battery energy storage. RWE Renewables UK undertakes the full project lifecycle—from site development, consenting and grid connection through financing, construction, and long‑term operations and maintenance—often in partnership with other investors and stakeholders. The company participates in the UK’s Contract for Difference framework and power purchase agreements to bring projects to market, contributing to decarbonisation and security of supply.
RWE completed 15 projects in 2025, adding solar, wind, and battery storage across seven U.S. states, creating 3,500 jobs and investing over $500 million in local communities.
The project secured UK government consent, aims for 1080MW capacity, and plans to start power generation post-2030, supporting up to 1 million UK homes.
