Refinaria de Petróleo Riograndense (RPR) is a Brazilian petroleum refiner based in Rio Grande, Rio Grande do Sul. Operating one of the country’s oldest refineries, the company processes crude oil into transportation fuels and hydrocarbon streams used as petrochemical feedstocks and specialty products, supplying industrial and distribution markets in southern Brazil.
The site integrates refining units and storage with port-connected logistics at Rio Grande, supporting regional supply of fuels and intermediates such as naphtha, LPG, and components for gasoline and diesel. RPR’s operations emphasize flexible product slates and proximity to customers in the state’s industrial corridor.
Topsoe's technology will enable a plant in Guangxi to produce SAF and renewable diesel from used cooking oil, reducing CO2 emissions by 800,000 tons annually. Operations start in December 2026.
