Renaissance Africa Energy Company Ltd (RAECO) is a Nigerian upstream oil and gas company formed by the Renaissance Consortium—ND Western, Aradel Holdings, First E&P, Waltersmith, and Petrolin—to acquire and operate former onshore and shallow-water assets in the Niger Delta. The company participates in Nigeria’s long‑standing onshore joint venture with NNPC Ltd and other international partners across a portfolio of Oil Mining Leases with producing fields and associated infrastructure. In this context, the partnership is often referred to as the Renaissance JV.
RAECO’s activities span exploration, field development and production of crude oil and natural gas, rehabilitation of brownfield assets, and gas commercialization from associated and non‑associated resources. Its asset base includes flow stations, gathering networks, pipelines and export routes that support oil output and domestic gas supply. The company operates within Nigeria’s local content framework and focuses on safe, reliable operations and improved recovery across mature fields.
