About QIA

Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) is the sovereign wealth fund of the State of Qatar, established in 2005 to manage and grow the country’s surplus reserves and diversify its economy beyond hydrocarbons. Headquartered in Doha, it is among the world’s largest state-owned investors and operates as a long-term, commercially driven institution with a global mandate.

QIA invests across public and private markets, including equities, private equity, real estate, infrastructure, technology, and credit. Its sector exposure spans energy, industrials, and materials, making it an active capital provider to companies and platforms across the chemicals value chain. The fund frequently partners with leading financial and strategic investors on large, complex transactions, taking both minority and control positions where appropriate. QIA emphasizes disciplined risk management, portfolio diversification, and sustainable value creation, and engages internationally through offices and partnerships in major financial centers.
