PrimeRES Energy Corporation is a Philippine-based retail electricity supplier (RES), incorporated on April 13, 2022, and granted a license by the Energy Regulatory Commission on March 19, 2024. A wholly owned subsidiary of Prime Infrastructure Capital Inc., it operates under the Retail Competition and Open Access (RCOA) regime, serving contestable customers with a peak demand of 500 kW or more, as well as aggregated smaller consumers.
The company supplies affordable and reliable power sourced from a mix including solar, natural gas, and hydroelectric sources, with partial supply from affiliate Prime Solar's 128 MW projects. PrimeRES targets a 200 MW customer portfolio by 2027, starting with the Razon Group, and has secured deals with partners like Manila Water, Mindanao Container Terminal, and Philippine Foremost Milling Corp. It pioneered the expanded Retail Aggregation Program (RAP), enabling cost savings and renewable access for industrial and commercial users.
Recent offtake agreements include long-term contracts for over half the output from a 440 MWp solar plant in Isabela developed by TotalEnergies and Nextnorth, supporting decarbonization efforts.
