Powerlink Queensland

Powerlink Queensland is a Queensland Government-owned transmission network service provider (TNSP) responsible for owning, developing, operating and maintaining the state’s high‑voltage electricity transmission network. Its grid links large-scale generators and major industrial customers across Queensland and provides interconnection with New South Wales as part of Australia’s National Electricity Market. Its revenues and service standards are regulated by the Australian Energy Regulator.

The company delivers connection and system services for new and existing loads and generation, including renewable energy and storage projects, and undertakes long‑term network planning and major augmentation projects to support reliability and growth. By transporting bulk electricity to distribution networks and directly connected users, Powerlink underpins power supply for energy‑intensive sectors, supporting facilities in resources, manufacturing and processing, including chemicals.
