Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Initiative

About Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Initiative

The Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Initiative (PSCI) is a global, member-led, nonprofit industry initiative that brings together pharmaceutical and healthcare companies to promote responsible practices across their supply chains. Its mission is to improve environmental, social, and ethical performance among suppliers and service providers worldwide.

PSCI is best known for the PSCI Principles, a common framework for supplier expectations covering five areas: ethics, human rights and labor, health and safety, environment, and management systems. The initiative provides tools and guidance, hosts capability-building programs and webinars, and operates a shared supplier audit program to reduce duplication, enhance transparency, and drive continuous improvement.

By aligning expectations and supporting suppliers—spanning active ingredients, intermediates, packaging, logistics, and related services—PSCI helps member companies and their partners manage risk, meet regulatory and customer requirements, and advance sustainability performance across the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical value chain.
