Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Initiative (PSCI) is a global, non-profit membership organization of pharmaceutical and healthcare companies that promotes responsible supply chain management. It works to raise standards across the industry by advancing ethics, human and labor rights, health and safety, environmental stewardship, and robust management systems throughout pharmaceutical supply chains.
PSCI develops and maintains the PSCI Principles, a common set of supplier expectations, and provides tools such as a shared audit program and supplier capability-building resources to harmonize requirements and reduce duplication. Its guidance and assessments are widely used by contract manufacturers and materials suppliers—including producers of active pharmaceutical ingredients, intermediates, excipients, and other chemicals—supporting consistent, transparent, and sustainable practices across the sector.
